Nautical Images Gallery and Langley Photography are now located on the Camden Public Landing. The new gallery is located at 8 Public Landing, nestled between Cappy's Chowder house and the waterfall, overlooking the docks of bustling Camden Harbor. One of the best perks is that Alison can dock her chase boat right outside in front of the gallery! We couldn't be happier with the studio, and the gallery will be up and running by July 1. Please stop in and shop for nautical prints, posters or note cards.
I'm excited to debut my new business venture, multimedia video, at this year's Maine Boatbuilders Show, March 19-21 at the Portland Company Complex. Stop by my booth to see a selection of videos in addition to new prints, posters, note cards and calendars. Here's a sneak peek at Freedom, a Mathis Trumpy restored by McMillen Yachts.

Hello Friends! Here's the video I shot of the Rock Salt 28 Special. Enjoy!
Rock Salt 28 is an aluminum alloy power boat, manufactured by The Welded Boat Company of Palacios, TX. Video shot on assignment by Alison Langley, Gulf of Mexico, Texas 2009.
Last week I took a trip to Palacios, Texas, on the Gulf, a great shrimping community and home of the Rock Salt Alloy Boats manufacturing facility to shoot a video assignment...yes, VIDEO! The result of the efforts was an exciting video of Rock Salt 28 Special in action. Rock Salt is the only company making and marketing a true deep-vee hull executed in aluminum alloy. It's a great sea boat. The video is being debuted today, December 2, as part of Rock Salt's trade show booth at the International WorkBoat Show. I've attached a couple frame grabs from the video - stay tuned for the full video next week. And keep an eye out for more video and multimedia pieces from Langley Photography in 2010!
It's not too early to start thinking about sending out Christmas cards. My best selling note card featured here, Priscilla, makes a great one! A box of 12 is only $12.95.
Call or email with your order today! We accept major credit cards.
Stay tuned for more holiday gift ideas from Langley Photography.
For my friends, clients and colleagues who haven’t heard from me for a few days, we’ve been moving into the new studio. As you can see, we’ll be unpacking boxes for days...but the business is up and running, full steam ahead. With a view of Camden Harbor, gorgeous skylights and beautiful pine floors milled from trees on our property, it’s beginning to feel like home. Well, it practically is since home is right next store.
These photos show the studio in transition - from drywalling to unpacking. We still have a lot of work to do before the space is ready for an open house, but we’ll keep you apprised of the progress. If you’d like to drop in to see the studio, give us a call or email ahead to be sure we’re here.
Feeling the nip in the air and the frost on it's way, I begin to turn my lenses inside, to capture the artisans of boat building in Maine. This year, I hope to travel afar to capture images of wooden boat building. If you know of that perfect picturesque barn with a wooden boat being built in it, please let me know!
In case you haven't heard the news, I'm moving into a new studio at my home. To help reduce my inventory, from now until Monday October 5, stop by the gallery for 25% off framed prints and select matted prints in stock. These are the final days of the Nautical Images Gallery at the Knox Mill. Once I get settled into the new space, I'll be announcing studio hours and planning an open house, so stay tuned for more information. The phone number will stay the same (207-236-7900), so feel free to call if you have any questions.
