Don't let the rain stop you! There's lots to see and do at the Sixth Annual Maine Boats Homes and Harbors Show in Rockland, today, tomorrow and Sunday. Stop off at the Langley Photography booth for a peek at some new images and a chat with Alison. We're especially pleased to have Alison's image of "Anna" a Sparkman and Stephens Spirit of Tradition Sloop, built by Brooklin Boatyard, grace this years Boat Show Issue of the magazine. Every year, during the first weekend of August, classic yachts descend upon Maine waters for a series of regattas. This year, these events will commemorate the 100th birthday of Olin Stephens, widely acclaimed as the pre-eminent yacht designer of the 20th century.

If you are in the area of Camden, please stop by our gallery to view this colorful exhibit, featuring the images of her new 2009 Nautical Details Calendar as well as many new images beautifully framed in various colors, shape and sizes.

Launching: Buzzard Bay 30's

On Sunday, June 22, French & Webb launched the fully restored Herreshof Buzzard Bay 30s, Young Miss, Quakeress II, and Lady M. For the past two years Alison has been photographing this restoration process.

The Buzzards Bay 30's were originally built in 1902 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. of Bristol, R.I.The 47-foot yachts were ordered by the Beverly, Mass., Yacht Club and were raced as a class. French & Webb was selected to restore three of these class sloops. These yachts, in varying stages of disrepair, were brought back to their original condition using materials, hardware & details specified in their Herreshoff plans.
